Dorigo Systems is proud to have hosted a tour visit on August 8th by the Dean of SFU Mechatronic Systems Engineering (MSE), Dr. John Shen, along with MSE Faculty members Dr. Farshid Najafi and Dr. Woo Soo Kim.
SFU MSE and Dorigo Systems are already collaborating on Industry 4.0 research via a Mitacs funded joint research program. Dr. Shen shared his vision on furthering SFU’s collaboration with Dorigo Systems in areas of Smart Manufacturing.
SFU MSE’s Smart Manufacturing Hub, which launched in June 2023, is the first-of-its-kind in Western Canada and is equipped with a state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 training system to simulate a highly automated smart factory. The Smart Manufacturing Hub revolutionizes traditional manufacturing processes and provides space for innovation and collaboration with industry to train the next generation of its workforce.
