Our team is growing and we are looking to hire full-time SMT Machine Operators to join our manufacturing operations. Reporting to our Production Manager, the successful candidates will play a key role in helping to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform SMT operations from simple to difficult on printed circuit board
  • Operate Panasonic pick-and-place equipment
  • Setup and operate EKRA and Panasonic Solder Paste Printers
  • Operate BTU Reflow Oven
  • Operate Aqueous PCB Washer Machine
  • Perform SMT setup and cleanup
  • Perform routine maintenance on the surface mount equipment
  • Coordinate work schedules within the SMT Line
  • Communicate with process engineers to resolve SMT assembly issues
  • Communicate with SMT supervisor to resolve any machine issues
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
  • Perform other duties as required

Job Skills:

  • The successful candidate should have two years experience with surface mount machines
  • Must have strong Printed Circuit Board assembly skills (SMT and PTH), along with good computer literacy and the equivalent of a high school diploma
  • Should have the ability to read and comprehend assembly documentation and drawings
  • Knowledge of color codes, electronic component identification and IPC-A-610-G is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of PanaPro and DGS software is an asset, as is experience operating the Panasonic pick-and-place machine
  • Should have excellent attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new methods and procedures, and to proactively participate in the decision-making process

We are looking to hire an experienced Production Planner to champion speed, dependability and visibility within our operations to meet the highest levels of customer on-time delivery. In this high impact position, you will be responsible for overall planning, scheduling, releasing, and tracking of end-to-end production work orders. The production planner will create, monitor, and report on the work order status and act as a key liaison between our order management and materials, manufacturing and shipping/receiving teams. In addition, we will be looking to you for ideas and feedback on systems, tools and processes to support our continual improvement drive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate manufacturing schedules using the best combination of tools and systems.
  • Actively manage the release and movement of work orders through all manufacturing operations.
  • Identify and proactively communicate the risks of delays due to labor and material bottlenecks, and produce corrective action plans in conjunction with respective departments to meet customers requirements.
  • In collaboration with functional leadership, generate, monitor, analyze, and report on key planning performance metrics.
  • Provide continuous improvement suggestions for the planning and reporting processes.
  • Assist with the development, documentation, and implementation of Dorigo Systems procedures and standards.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Abilities:

  • 5+ years planning experience in high mix low volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience in EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) industry will be an advantage
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and great abilities in tracking and complying with tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities and work efficiently
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
  • Strong working knowledge of software applications, ERP systems, Office 365, and collaboration tools
  • Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain systems and their impact on planning
  • Strong understanding of shop floor control, capacity planning and MRP
  • APICS Certification (CPIM, CPSC) or like would be an asset
  • Competent with computer software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SharePoint)

We are looking to hire an energized, engaged and collaborative Quality Assurance Manager who will ensure that all external and internal requirements are met before our product reaches our customers. In this role you will be responsible for both systems and product quality.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, the successful candidate must have a strong understanding of quality standards as well as technical background in order to play a key role in assuring the highest quality of our operations and services.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the quality control system.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the Quality Control team to maximize team effectiveness and to complete measurement, inspection, and other quality control activities.
  • Examine operational processes for compliance to ISO standards and improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Facilitate the ongoing development and maintenance of QMS including process improvements and documentation.
  • Analyze KPI data and provide recommendations to management for establishing quality objectives.
  • Manage regulatory inspections and customer audits including proactive preparation for the inspections/audits and compliant responses to findings.
  • Manage the document control system, corrective action process, equipment and instrument calibration and preventive maintenance system, NCR and RMA process within the organization.
  • Liaise with other departments and participate in management decision-making regarding overall company strategy and quality targets.
  • Interface with customers regarding product quality issues/concerns; assign and track internal/external corrective actions to achieve desired quality performance.
  • Perform supplier quality systems audits.
  • Train and educate employees on quality principles, practices, and operating guidelines.

 Desired Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Abilities:

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years of management experience in a quality assurance role (electronics manufacturing industry strongly preferred)
  • Member of international quality body or society such as ASQ (CMQ/OE, CQE, or CQA certification is strongly preferred)
  • Understanding of electronic and mechanical testing processes, designs, and associated production technology
  • Knowledge of ISO:9001, ISO13485, AS9100C, SPC, ERP, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 and other related standards is a strong asset
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and components datasheets
  • Proven track record of success in a high-pressure, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization

Our team is growing and we are looking to hire Electro-Mechanical Assemblers to join our manufacturing operations at our facility in Burnaby, BC. Reporting to our Production Manager, the successful candidates will play a key role in helping to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Under general guidance with limited supervision, the successful candidate will perform electro-mechanical assembly and other related assembly tasks as assigned.
  • Follow moderately detailed assembly procedures and instructions while performing assigned tasks in compliance with quality workmanship and company standards.
  • Use tools or operate power driven equipment to drill, rivet, insert parts or components, cut and shape components, crimp, connect wires, wire wrap, perform wiring and prepare wires. Wires may include shielded wires, and solder sleeve assemblies, and tasks may include strip, tin, twist and wire identification by tagging.
  • Operate Go / No go test equipment.
  • Work with colour coded materials.
  • Perform washing, degreasing, masking, spraying preparation, unmasking and touch-up operations for conformal coating or other applications.
  • Install or assemble plates, gaskets, grommets, heatsinks, components, sub-assemblies, etc. using fasteners and/or adhesives.
  • Perform basic soldering operations, part making, lacing, and making cable assemblies or wire harnesses.
  • Operate vacuum chambers, ovens, scales, caulking guns, etc.
  • Mix adhesives, chemical solutions, potting and coating compounds in required precise proportions; clean and maintain containers, applicators and spray equipment in good working order.
  • Operate wave solder and lead-trimming equipment.
  • Report problems and rejections of first-off product to higher level operators or supervisors for correction.
  • Observe all safety procedures and precautions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Job Skills:

  • The successful candidate should have from six months to one year of relevant experience.
  • Education equivalent to Grade 10 level of credits at a Secondary School.
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new methods and procedures.
  • Willing to proactively participate in the decision making process.
