Our team is growing and we are looking to hire a Material Handler/Shipper Receiver to join our manufacturing operations at our facility in Burnaby, BC. Reporting to the Inventory Supervisor and Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate should be very organized with great time-management skills, flexible, willing to learn new things, and adapt well to changing work requirements/demands. Such a candidate will play a key role in helping to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, count, move components, sub-assemblies, and finished goods to designated work centers.
  • Movement of work in progress between work centers.
  • Review pick lists and/or Bills of Material for accuracy.
  • Receiving, transacting, and job closing finished goods shipments in ERP system including all customer and transport documentation in coordination with Customer Experience Specialists.
  • Determining, scheduling, and coordinating courier pickups.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We are currently looking to hire a Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality Assurance team. Reporting to Quality Assurance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in helping to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform all quality control inspection processes within our printed circuit board manufacturing facility.
  • Follow manufacturing assembly procedures and instructions, and perform assigned tasks in compliance with quality, workmanship and company standards.
  • Work with color coded materials and documentation.
  • Perform First Article Inspection for both SMT and PTH circuit board assemblies.
  • Perform SMT In-Process and PTH In-Process Inspection.
  • Perform Post Mechanical Assembly and Final Assembly Inspection.
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally, candidate should have at least 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, but all interested applicants with transferable skills will be considered.
  • Solid knowledge and skills in printed circuit board assembly.
  • Solid knowledge of electronic component identification.
  • Ability to read and comprehend assembly documentation and drawings.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Attention to detail and good eye / hand coordination.
  • Knowledge of color codes, electronic component identification and IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assembly standards.
  • Communication skills both written and spoken.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new methods and procedures.
  • Proactively participate in the decision-making process.

Reporting to Production Supervisor, the successful candidate should have knowledge and experience of conformal coating tasks as outlined below and, as such, will play a key role in helping to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Under general guidance with limited supervision, the successful candidate will perform conformal coating and other related tasks as assigned.
  • Operate conformal coating machine such as spray machines, curing ovens, and inspect results to the acceptance criteria.
  • Perform manual touch up operations on the products as required.
  • Communicate and report on key quality, output data and possible improvements to higher level operators or supervisors.
  • Perform masking and de-masking processes as needed.
  • Perform additional support to the mechanical assembly department as needed.
  • Observe all safety procedures and precautions.

Job Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in Electronics Manufacturing industry, preferably in Conformal Coating operations.
  • Good command of computer knowledge in a Windows based environment.
  • Very good written and verbal English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new methods and procedures, and proactively participate in the decision-making process.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in a respectful manner and support the manufacturing team.

Additional assets:

  • Experience in ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards for Electronics Manufacturing.

We are looking to hire an experienced Quality Engineer who will make sure that our quality policies, systems, and procedures meet technical and safety standards.

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the successful candidate must have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving and communication skills, strong sense of quality standards, and ability to handle multiple projects in order to play a key role in helping to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Review, develop and maintain Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain the internal QMS to ensure it conforms to ISO 9001 latest requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective training in relation to quality assurance.
  • Evaluate work processes using SOPs and work instructions.
  • Report to top-level management on QA performance against objectives and targets.
  • Administer the Dorigo Quality Database, monitor and review data, and generate reports.
  • Implement quality tools such as 8D, Ishikawa charting, process mapping, pareto charting.
  • Apply appropriate use of statistical process control techniques.
  • Recommend areas for continuous improvements of quality, yield, cost, and competency.
  • Administer internally or externally generated non-conformances, investigate causes for non-conformances and initiate team meetings to prevent non-conformances.
  • Support and train the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and process comply with the relevant requirement of the QMS.
  • Work with customers and suppliers on quality related audits.
  • Coordinate calibration of measuring device activities and RMA process
  • Assist with UL/Intertek and other laboratory audits and certifications.
  • Implement lean methodologies to create efficiencies and reduce waste.
  • Conduct internal departmental audits every year.
  • Complete PCAR investigations and coordinate the implementation of corrective/preventative actions.
  • Analyze quality defect data and conduct continuous improvement projects.
  • Work on other various duties and projects as assigned by department manager.

YOU NEED THE FOLLOWING TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, SPC, ERP, IPC-610 and other related standards.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and strong customer skills.
  • Excellent problem analysis/solving skills,
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to influence individuals and teams to achieve desired goals and objectives.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multiple deadlines.
  • Exposure/experience with Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, IPC Standards.
  • Nice to have: experience working in an EMS environment and ASQ CQE certification.
