Remember when you used to donate non-perishables around the Holidays?
Over the past few years, the Greater Vancouver Food Bank has shifted away from traditional food drives to ensure the people they serve receive fresh, nutritious food, while reducing the stigma sometimes associated with accessing food support. They’ve also taken advantage of initiatives such as the BC Farmers’ Food Donation Tax Credit, which helps redirect high-quality surplus produce back into the community instead of letting it go to waste.
The need for food continues to grow each year. The GVFB now supports more than 16,000 people each month, including children, seniors, and many working families who struggle to meet basic needs as living costs rise. In FY2025, the organization distributed over 9.5 million pounds of food and supported more than 830,000 visits through both direct distribution and agency partners.

This December, Dorigo Systems is proud to support the Greater Vancouver Food Bank through our month-long Giving Tuesday fundraiser. Our goal is to raise $1,500 or more to help strengthen food security for individuals and families across our region. Thanks to the strong partnerships with local farmers, every dollar donated to GVFB is effectively doubled.
We’re inviting our team, partners, and network to join us in helping the GVFB continue this important work throughout the Holiday season. Dorigo Systems is committed to giving back to the community we operate in, and we look forward to making a meaningful contribution this December.
