As your partner in the manufacturing process, we here at Dorigo Systems strive to be proactive and transparent in addressing any issues that could affect our customers or their orders.

As of July 22, 2019, EU Directive 2015/863 will officially come into effect.  This new RoHS directive adds four additional banned substances to the current list of six banned substances.  Dorigo is preemptively drawing up implementation plans for this new directive and we see this as a great opportunity to further open the lines of communication with our customers.

We currently issue RoHS certificates to those customers who request them.  If you happen to fall within this category, please read through the guidelines below, and then reach out to Dorigo to continue the conversation.

Our customers place Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) or product orders with us in one of two ways: Consigned (in which the customer supplies the parts) or Turnkey (in which Dorigo orders the parts according to the customer's Bill of Materials).

For Consigned Customers / Orders: Continue supplying RoHS compliant parts and PCBs to Dorigo, and be sure keep the associated RoHS 3 C of Cs for these items on-hand. Dorigo can issue a RoHS 3 C of C confirming that all materials and processes used by Dorigo are compliant as well.

For Turnkey Customers / Orders: For orders received after July 21, please let us know via email if a RoHS 3 C of C will be required, and indicate this on your PO. Also please ensure that all of the parts in the Bill of Materials (BOM) are RoHS 3 compliant. If this means that you need to update your BOM to make changes, please update the revision level when making the changes and send a new document package over to us when ready.

Supporting your compliance is an important part of our partnership with you, so kindly help us by indicating IF your product needs a RoHS 3 certificate and then by updating your documentation accordingly.

Does the new RoHS directive affect your orders?  If so, give us a call!  We look forward to connecting with you to continue the discussion.
