We are looking to hire a driven, accountable and collaborative HR Generalist to help build out a high-performing culture and support operational HR functions.  Reporting to the VP of Operations and working in close collaboration with the Dorigo management team, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to make your mark on a highly-regarded electronics manufacturing company undergoing an exciting operational transition. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the recruitment process, including creating job descriptions, posting jobs, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, interviewing candidates, performing reference checks and offer negotiation;
  • Support the effective use of our strong employee benefits program, including enrolling
  • Develop, coordinate and support our performance management, development and compensation programs;
  • Serve as key liaison for all employee on- and off-boarding;
  • Mentor, support and respond to all inquiries regarding employment issues, HR policies and practices to all levels of staff in addition to providing proactive advice, guidance and recommendations as needed;
  • Prepare HR documentation, including employment contracts, promotion/transfer/termination letters, performance management documentation and compensation adjustments;
  • Generate and analyze HR KPIs to ensure continual improvement across all categories;
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of employment laws and regulations, ensuring legal compliance and initiating policy changes/updates as needed;
  • Provide administrative support for all areas of HR;
  • Perform other duties as required.

 Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in HR management and a minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with demonstrated experience in applying HR concepts, practices and methods in the workplace;
  • Knowledgeable in BC employment regulations;
  • Excellent judgement, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Engaging and energetic communications style, with the ability to work closely with all levels of the organization;
  • Strong ability to handle confidential situations and sensitive information with discretion;
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry a strong asset.
