Dorigo Systems Ltd – Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer supports Process Engineering and Manufacturing by performing general manufacturing engineering tasks related to processes, process improvement, process engineering support, production floor support. Other tasks include: problem solving, standard assembly time estimating, researching, designing assembly tools and assembly jigs.

  • Implement and maintain Manufacturing Documentation: Manufacturing Process Instructions, work instructions, lot travelers, process flow diagrams, procedures.  

  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, recommend, and implement solutions related to all manufacturing processes, operational systems, procedures, and documentation related to Electronics Manufacturing.

  • Select, propose, and design equipment and tooling for manufacturing as well as set up, process development, implementation

  • Examine and review drawings, blueprints, schematics, work orders, vendor catalogs and other technical data to ensure compliance with specifications and requirements.

  • Monitor manufacturing processes to identify ways to reduce losses, decrease time requirements and assure or improve quality; identify and implement new manufacturing technologies, processes, or equipment.

  • Provide manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.

  • Perform root cause analysis of manufacturing non-conformances and recommend solutions.

  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

  • Develop and maintain programs associated with automated production equipment as well as identify opportunities for improvements in quality, cost, or efficiency of the equipment.

  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Responsibilities may include customer interface and vendor problem solving.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Any other projects/task assigned by Engineering Manager

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, with 5 years’ experience in an Electronics Manufacturing environment preferred.

  • New Product Introduction

  • Equipment troubleshooting

  • Tooling & Fixture Design

  • Exposure/experience with lean principles preferred

  • Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills.
